Ana Cristina American, b. 1994
Ana Cristina (b. Boston, 1994) is a self-taught painter living and working in New York City. Cristina uses painting to navigate memories of her dreams and personal mythology, deploying imagery that emerges at the threshold between daydreams and nightmares. Symbolic narratives evoke memory, shifting between the seen and the felt to translate the spectrum of existence into visual form. She pursues a connection through shared experience; dynamics of conflict and intuition are played out by evocative storytelling. The act of painting serves as both an escape and a confrontation, where the inner world bulges into the outer. Recent solo exhibitions include Corner Gallery in Andes, New York in 2025 and F2T, Milan in 2026.
